Neil is an associate teacher at RADA. Having gained a BA in Theatre Studies and Philosophy from the University of Ulster, he went on to train as an actor at RADA.

He has directed, and taught acting, directing and writing at various drama schools and Universities including RADA, East 15 (University of Essex), Arts Ed, Bath Spa University and Sunderland University. He has been a member of the RADA audition panel since 2003.

Neil has been an honorary research fellow at Birkbeck, University of London.
